For a full-time hire

Give me the problem that has no shape yet.

18+ years of product leadership, strategy to execution: abstract problem to shippable product, chaotic environment to orchestrated environment, misaligned stakeholders to aligned cross-product functions. 5 industries, 3 geographies.

Organisations don’t fail at strategy. They fail at translating it into work.

What you get on day one
I make the abstract real.
5× (0→1)
Built products from a blank page five times, across five industries - travel, loyalty, banking procurement, media & entertainment, and enterprise software - often with a limited data team.
I ship through the chaos.
~$25M monthly GTV
Led product on a B2B2C travel and loyalty platform at that scale, through an on-prem-to-cloud rebuild: 3 launches for 5 enterprise clients, zero downtime.
I lead across functions, without authority.
40 cross-functional stakeholders
Drove a regulatory initiative across 15+ cross-product teams and 40 stakeholders - legal, risk, engineering, data, design - with no direct reporting line, to achieve 100% compliance.

Product Management: from my perspective

Shape leads to Ship; Synchronize loops around both
Synchronize wraps around both - continuous alignment, not a third step

Pillars, anchors and behaviours

Three pillars of product manager behaviour, eight behavioural anchors, and the ground-level behaviours under each.

Scenario-based learning

A realistic situation, the decisions you make in it, and the consequences you live with.

The Recognition-Primed Decision model

Better behaviour and decision making in real life - by learning to read the cues, recognise the pattern and simulate what happens next.

How we’d work

Consulting engagements

Remote or on-site
Remote by default. I am happy to be on-site in Pune, and to travel for workshops and key sessions.
How an engagement starts
  1. A free 30-minute problem conversation - over email, a call or face to face.
  2. I listen to what’s going on, ask the questions that sharpen the problem, and say honestly whether I’m the right fit.
  3. Engagement finalisation: if there’s a fit, a short written scope follows, with the outcome, format, duration and what ‘done’ looks like.
Formats
The format depends on the problem to be solved during the assignment.
Typical duration
Discovery sprints usually run 2-4 weeks. Fractional roles run 3-6 months, with an option to extend. Advisory retainers are month-to-month.
Online or in person
Both. Most of the work runs well online. Workshops and key sessions can be in person in Pune, or in other cities by arrangement.

Training engagements

Remote or on-site
Remote by default. I am happy to be on-site in Pune, and to travel for workshops and key sessions.
How an engagement starts
  1. Step 0 - Strings (assessment before training): each person rates themselves on the anchors, then works through scenarios and writes their read of the situation and what they would say, which the trainer scores against the rubric. The gap between the self-rating and the scenario rating shows where to focus. A target level is optional and, if wanted, is set together with me.
  2. Priority anchors: agree the Swanubhava™ anchors to focus on first, from the gaps.
  3. Engagement finalisation: short-term engagement or long-term engagement (cohort).
Formats
  1. Short-term engagement: workshops on up to 3 priority anchors, one session each - live scenarios, then a group walkthrough against the behaviour rubric.
  2. Long-term engagement (cohort): a cohort works through its priority anchors over several weeks, with Strings at the start and again at the end to show movement. MBA students work in groups of 4-5; corporate participants individually.

Some people need 1:1 coaching rather than training. Strings shows which, and I can point you to the right coach.

Typical duration
  1. Short-term engagement: half a day to a full day, for 8-20 people.
  2. Long-term engagement (cohort): 6-8 weeks for 10-15 people.

These are rough batch sizes and durations. They can be changed to fit your requirement.

Built around your context
The three pillars and eight anchors stay the same. The behavioural traits and scenarios can be tailored, and I can help you build scenarios from your own situations under each pillar.
After training - Strings again
About four weeks after the last session, a different scenario on the same anchors, rated the same way, to show whether the gap has closed.

Please get in touch for pricing details.
Online or in person
Both. The scenarios run in the browser and work on a phone, so online delivery works well. Workshops can be in person in Pune, or in other cities by arrangement.
